CreateLAB is an initiative of TU Dublin Hothouse in partnership with the Dublin School of Creative Arts, Grangegorman and the School of Mechanical and Design Engineering in Bolton Street. Our primary aim is to support industry through design in the development of new products and creation of Intellectual Property.
CreateLab has extensive Design expertise in the areas of Ideation, User Centred Design, UX Design, Design Thinking, Visual Communication, Retail Design, Product Development, Prototyping, 3D Printing, CAD, Design for Manufacture etc. Furthermore, CreateLAB has excellent prototyping and workshop facilities.
CreateLAB opens up these resources to external partners through through Innovation Vouchers, Innovation Partnerships, Collaborative Research Agreements and private funding.

MakeLAB is a Makerspace/ Fab Lab that opens up the extensive workshop facilities within the Dublin School of Creative Arts to client companies and makers. The function of MakeLAB is to provide a bookable product development and prototyping space to a limited number of members though a subscription basis.
